Kapok is one of the woods available to the player in TerraFirmaCraft. Kapok is a hardwood, although, in real life, its wood is not widely used. The cotton-like fibres of the flower are, however, and they can be woven into cloth or the raw product can be used as stuffing in bedding. The texture of the tree is that of the jungle trees from vanilla Minecraft, but the planks are purple. The leaves are green and there are no saplings available (according to Bioxx this is to give the player the idea of scarcity).

The wood of the tree can be made into planks via a metal saw.
These planks can then be used to create any item or block which requires wooden planks. When creating an item / block with planks, the recipe is not plank type specific (except for tool racks and doors). You can, for example, create chests, stairs, and signs out of different types of wood.
