Native platinum veins are small in size and can be found in sedimentary layers of stone:

- Claystone
- Conglomerate
- Dolomite
- Limestone
- Rock salt

Using []
Native platinum can be smelted in a crucible to produce unshaped platinum. A platinum ingot can be worked into an oil lamp (as of TFC 0.79.17). Native platinum cannot be smelted in a fire pit or pit kiln.
