There are many minerals and ores in TFC that are currently useless. They have been kept in world generation because the devs supposedly have future plans to include them in new game mechanics. Additionally, there are minerals that don't spawn in-game, but exist within the game database.
Spawning ores and minerals:
- Galena - lead-containing ore. Spawns in all igneous extrusive, and metamorphic layers, as well as in limestone and granite.
- Gypsum - spawns only in sedimentary layers (top layer).
- Jet - spawns only in sedimentary layers (top layer).
- Pitchblende - spawns only in granite stone layers.
Non-spawning minerals:
- Microline
- Olivine
- Petrified wood
- Satinspar
- Selenite
- Serpentine
